A trip to Peterson island

After completion of site inductions and field training could then venture abroad in on days off to take in this amazing environment and nature. Form my left is Toby ( Plant Operator ) Myself, Don ( EES ) and Webby who was taken the picture. When we left Casey it was reasonable clear but as we headed into our journey it stated snowing limiting our visibility. All was good with modern navigation aids, reliable  communications and a vast knowledge of the area with Toby and Webby
We arrived to just short of our destination at about 10.00pm and then hiked for about 3 kilometers with light snow falling and no wind it was very surreal. As we approached our shelter for the night our little fury friends we just going about there business probably wondering who the hell are we.
The landscape photo is looking back acrosss Penny Bay towards Petterson Glacier.
We had a comfortable night sleeped in to about 8.00am had breaky
