Programed service on Doug's helicopter to ensure trouble free operation.
The blades had to be taken of so the service could be conducted inside the green shed out of the element's.
The service team are very professional and highly skilled making sure every think is 100 percent including Frank the other chopper pilot. Both him and Doug have a vast knowledge operating in remote locations where detail is paramount.
A view on the way to Fila Island to change a couple of Fire Extinguisher's.
Job complete time to go to next destination.
A view coming into Law Base a Australian field hut about One hour and Fifteen minutes via chopper from Davis next to the Russian and Chinese bases.
The chopper dropped me off. I was going to continue on to Sampson Island a other Forty Five minutes down the road to meet up with the other chopper to move fuel drums and do the Fire extinguisher thing but had to much work to do at Law Base. I suppose that will be a trip to come.
Completed my work replacing six extinguisher's, and testing the Gas installation. Had a bit of time up my sleeve decided to have a bit of a look around. And this is the outlook.
Perched on top of a hill.
The Russian's are coming.
Heard a rumble in the distance and this is what it was a old 1950 tank bit of a time warp.
The pictures where taken from the same hill. The Russian Base is probably about 10km.
A view on my way down from the hill back to Law Base.
Getting picked up time getting away was ready for a quick departure.
Just out of Davis about to land was a great day here in adventure land.
